It has been extremely rewarding to see the re-engagement of disaffected pupils within the schools we have visited. Bubble football has enabled children to re-connect with those child like urges to play, using the traditional games we set up like British Bulldog. It requires skills such as spatial awareness, teamwork and basic movements like somersaults whilst having the confidence generated by being in a large, protective bubble. We have found it somewhat ironic that it takes a new activity like bubble football to bring out these traditional play skills amongst the children, making the Physical Education teachers task of engagement, movement and enjoyment a whole lot easier.
